The Kiro Saga Books 1-64
An Essay by
J. C. Jenkins Jr
By accident I came across the first book of the Kirov Saga. I would spend the next few months buying all 64 books in the series. I have to say it is one of the best series of Military Fiction I had ever come across. I have read a few books in this Gere and liked them.
Nothing could prepare me for the Kirov Saga. What most important about the Kirov Saga is that it is one long story spanning Sixty-four books each on another chapter of the stories. There are several side stories that are apart of Kirov Saga.
At the time of this reading, I am book 22 and really enjoying the series. The Kirov Saga may be completed. That is not the end of John Schettler’s Kirov Sage. A Character from one of the books ends up passing through a fissure and ends up on another world and thus begins another Series, The Chronicles of Innisfail. Only this time it’s in a Fantasy Setting so who knows how may books John Schettler may write in this Series.
It could even be another Fifty or more books in this new series. We’ll just have to see it will take me maybe a year or more to finish the Kirov Saga. The Chronicles of Innisfail promises to be a Series that could be just as long and great as the Kirov Saga.
If anyone has not started reading the Kirov Saga because you do not like or have any interest in Military Fiction you are not alone. What really caught my interest was the angle that a Russian Battleship travels back in time to the 1940s and began altering History with unforeseen Consequences. Thus, leading to the Genre of Alternative History as they try to set things right and prevent World War III from occurring destroying all life on Earth.
I am only on book twenty-two and I am hooked on this series and can not seem to be able to put it down. The Kirov Saga is even giving me ideas of how to write a Never-Ending Series type of Literature which all began with Star Trek.
Yes, I am a Star Trek fan and have been reading them since 1992. Star Trek is not the only Genre thought. I read numerous Genres and really enjoy reading. Reading would lead me to create my, World of Six Moons Series in January 2001. You can look up my Books by Googling J. C. Jenkins Jr.
Right now; I am working on my own Never-Ending Series I call, The Interloper Series. Like the Kirov Saga, The Interloper Series has numerous side-stories in the Saga. I hope one day that you will get to enjoy them. I have combined Numerous Genres to create my World of Six Moons Series.
You will see how many Genres I have used to create a new Genre of Literature. I hope one day you will get to enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
If you have aspirations to be a writer; don’t let Self Doubt hold you back and tell you, you do not have it in you to write a book or create a Series. Those are lies that you are telling yourself. Do not listen to them. You can write and there is nothing holding you back but the lies you are telling yourself.
Do all the research you can on writing, and read the Genre you find to your liking and if this is what you love to read. Start with that Genre and write the books that you dream up in your mind.
The Kirov Saga is a great source of Reading Material to start with. But do not take my word for it, read it for yourself.
