The Path to Publishing.

I started writing in January 2001. I may never even started writing if no for discovering The Dragon Lance Saga. Although Dragon Lance did inspired me to start writing, Dragon Lance wasn’t the only thing to inspire me.

I grew up rather poor, when I was young I watched a lot of television, and who doesn’t. Television just gave me the wherewithal to develop an active imagination.

When you suffered from mental illness since you were born and preferred to be alone. You had to do something to pass the time and entertain yourself. Fantasizing about a adventurous life in a Fantasy World as a Fantasy creature. You learn to create and live lives impossible in the real world.

It started around six or seven. I was attracted to such things as My Little Pony and Dungeons and Dragons the television series. This is around the time that I started reading.

The first book I read by myself was Elle the Elephant. Every summer I would go to the Library just a few blocks from my house and take home several books that I would read.

However as much as I loved to read, I had a hard time focusing . Being diagnosed with ADHD it was hard to focus on a task for long periods at a time.

The same is true for today. How many people do you know can focus on writing thirty different stories at one time and not get them mixed up?

School never taught me how to write. I struggled with English. I still do to this day. One thing I can say that has never changed is that I have an over active imagination. I had one since I was little. The only thing is I could never write them down like I read in the books that I love.

You may be asking, “if you never learned how to write, how is it that you published two novels?”

The thing is I developed an obsession for reading in my early teens. I learned everything I know about writing from the books that I read. I am still learning new things as I read. And thanks to Grammarly Premium I am learning even more.

It wasn’t until I started reading Fantasy that I wanted to create a World of my own. So many writers have done why can’t I?

Santellex, My World of Six Moons was created. The first story ever started was not, Night Stalkers, no, it was An Ancient Evil Awakens. My, The End of an Age Series.

As I worked on the End Of An Age, it grew from One World to Seven. I am still working on The End of an Age Series.

It would take another sixteen years before I published Night Stalkers my first novel. As you read my works you’ll notice references in them that would eventually lead to a futuristic world and society and Dozens of additional Worlds to work with.

And this is only the beginning of my Works.
I’ll write more about that in future instalments. Until next time I hope you enjoyed reading my Blog and Works.
